Hello Corey & Petra,

This past March 8th, you both came out to the CFL Fans Fight Cancer event, which was also Sheldon's 40th birthday celebration (’90s themed!). Your son absolutely loved my Michael Jackson shirt, lol.

That night, Corey, you took a picture with Sheldon's dad (my FIL), Ken Jones. He was so elated about this. All season, he had said he wanted the Riders to go to the Grey Cup in Winnipeg and for us to win the Cup on their turf.

On October 3rd, Ken sadly passed away from cancer—about 30 minutes before game time in Ottawa. We like to say he watched that game from the best seat in the house.

He mentioned that picture with Coach to anyone and everyone, and we truly believe that Ken—along with many CFL spirits up there—cheered you guys on to the championship.

We wanted to thank you, the Mace family, for taking this team and winning the Grey Cup for those who can’t be here on earth to enjoy it, like Ken. This has been an emotional time for our family and an emotional Grey Cup, as we know Ken’s wish came true.

Enjoy every moment of this off-season. 💚💚

You may have noticed I’ve been a little quieter on here lately about Monat. As many of you know, my family has been walking through my father-in-law’s cancer journey, and that has been my main focus these past months. 💚

That said, I want to let you know—I’m still very much here and I still absolutely love what I do with Monat.

This business has given me community, gratitude, and products I truly believe in. It’s not just shampoo and skincare—it’s been a source of light even during the tougher seasons.

🍦25 Years at Dairy Queen! 🍦

I’m celebrating 25 years with Dairy Queen — and what a journey it’s been! When I started all those years ago, I never imagined how much this place would shape my life.

Over the years, I’ve:

🎂 Decorated thousands of cakes
❄️ Served Blizzards through every kind of blizzard
💛 Built lasting friendships and unforgettable memories
👩‍💼 Mentored many and developed my management skills
💕 Met my husband, Sheldon (we just celebrated 14 years of marriage!)
👨‍👦 Worked alongside my own two sons, Brandon and Dustin, and even my cousin’s kids — including currently!

DQ has truly been a second home — not just a workplace, but a place where life happened. It’s where I’ve laughed, grown, and built a foundation for everything that came after — including my business, Roots to Radiance.

I’m especially grateful to Jim and Michele for not only mentoring me in my career, but for showing me that a workplace can feel like family.

To every shift, every customer, every team member, and every lesson learned — thank you.

Thank you for being part of my story — whether you were a co-worker, a customer, a family member, or a friend cheering me on.
