Avec les grand froids annoncés, il faut se préparer 🥶🐎

• Assurez-vous que vos animaux aient accès à du foin à volonté; la digestion produit de la chaleur et aide à les garder au chaud 🥵

• Assurez-vous que vos animaux boivent suffisamment d’eau et que l’eau ne soit pas trop froide. Ajoutez du sel à la ration pour favoriser l’hydratation et éviter les coliques 🥴

• Assurez-vous qu’ils aient accès à un abris pour les protéger du vent. Une bonne couche de litière aide à conserver la chaleur. Idéalement de la paille ou de la ripe. Les deux sont disponibles à la ferme Dion 🪺

• Surveillez leur état : Frisson, perte d’états. Certains chevaux sont plus sensibles aux températures froides (poulains et chevaux séniors, cheval malade, etc.) 😰

• Vous pouvez même leur offrir une soupe chaude à base de luzerne Summit ou de Haysaver pour les réchauffer 🍜
