This is a difficult topic to talk about but it’s an important one.
Imagine walking past a park bench and noticing a young adult slumped over.
Their breathing seems shallow. Their skin looks pale. There’s an open bag beside them.
Your heart would probably start racing.
Most people want to help in a moment like that… but many simply don’t know what to do next.
Do you try to wake them?
Do you call someone?
Do you wait?
What if it’s an overdose?
These are the kinds of situations we hope none of us ever encounter but the reality is that they do happen in our communities.
That’s one of the reasons we created our 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗲 & 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲. To help them feel a little more prepared if they ever find themselves in a moment like this.
It walks through simple but critical steps like recognizing warning signs, calling for help, and understanding how naloxone can save a life while waiting for first responders.
Because when something serious happens, even a few seconds can make a difference.
