At UB Music-que Therapy Services, we offer one-on-one music therapy sessions to support families and their children with neurological conditions and developmental delays, as well as group music therapy sessions to people that share common goals and similar needs best achieved together. We also offers consultations to professionals in educational, community, and health care institutions. We want to help them make better use of music for the well-being of the people they support.

Une vérité pour plusieurs enfants / A truth for many children.

With back to school coming up next week, we know many kids will be feeling school anxiety creeping back into their worlds. School anxiety may look like tantrums, school refusal, or stomach pains but when you take time to explore there is often more underneath that is fuelling the anxiety. Consoling and caring for the surface issues often only allows the root of the anxiety to be avoided which means it grows and becomes even harder to address later. Many of our clinicians come from an education background and can offer real insight and strategies to deal with school anxiety to kids and parents/caregivers that address these root causes. Don’t wait till the behaviour gets out of control before tackling this issue.
