Most store-bought lotions are mostly water. And when water is the main ingredient, preservatives have to follow.
Parabens, synthetic fragrance, formaldehyde-releasing agents, petroleum derivatives — many conventional lotions rely on these to stay shelf-stable, smell appealing, and feel silky. But our skin is not just a surface. It absorbs, responds, and remembers. Over time, repeated exposure to certain synthetic preservatives and fragrance compounds has been linked to skin irritation, hormone disruption, and increased sensitivity.
There is another way.
My lotion bars are water-free and concentrated, made with nourishing plant butters, oils, and botanicals. Because there’s no water, there’s no need for harsh preservatives. What touches your skin is simple, purposeful, and easy for the body to recognize.
Just warmth, nourishment, and ingredients that have been trusted long before laboratory shelves were lined with chemicals.
Less filler. More intention. 🌿
