24 hours difference: From lady bug lunch to hiding from the weather lunch 😁

We are blessed to have a beautiful lodge with a wood stove for the colder days. But, we have yet to have a day we even spend 50% of the day inside. Kids just want to be out, even when adult think the weather is poor.

So much happens behind the scenes at Forest school including site safety assessments. When I arrived onsite this morning, I was greeted by these 2. The male was acting territorial and there were small kids arriving shortly. Thankfully he moved off the road and back to the pond a safe distance away so that we were not imposing any stress on them, nor was he a threat to our group.

It may just look like play, especially to them. But, there were so many conversations about predators and prey and it evolved into scavengers and life cycles.
