Title : Introduction to Disability Management and Occupational Health & Safety
Date: May 26
Time: 9 - 1030 am

Link to register: https://buff.ly/AbwhkGq

Info about the webinar:

OHS is crucial to safeguard the physical and mental well-being of workers. It encompasses preventive measures, regulations, and training to minimize workplace hazards, injuries, and illnesses. Ensuring workers' well-being not only protects them but also supports Alberta's economy.
WCB, working together with our partners, will work to measurably reduce the impact of workplace illness and injury on Albertans. WCB is committed to delivering service that reflects the needs of employers and their workers. By working together with our partners, we can deliver outcomes that ensure the system works well for Albertan’s workplaces and leads the country in efficiency, effectiveness and experience.

Representatives from WCB will discuss how you can support your workers with effective disability management practices. As an employer, you play a critical role in a worker's recovery by being supportive and offering suitable return-to-work opportunities. You will learn about the resources available to build strong return-to-work plans to help your injured workers get back to work safely. Providing timely and appropriate modified duties can help you reduce your worker's time away from work, which can also reduce your overall premium costs.

The team from Alberta OHS - Prevention Services branch - will discuss how to develop and implement OHS management systems, how to achieve a Certificate of Recognition (COR) or a Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR), earn WCB rebates for participation in these programs, and provide an overview of Alberta's workplace injury statistics. The team will highlight the resources available from the OHS Resource Portal at https://buff.ly/h2gXMdY.
