Some weeks feel like a massive breakthrough, and others feel like you’re starting back at square one. That’s not a failure; that’s just how progress looks.

Progress isn’t just big milestones.

It’s the small, quiet victories you might not even notice:
• Catching a negative thought before it spirals.
• Responding to stress with a deep breath instead of an immediate reaction.
• Actually setting and holding a boundary, even when it’s uncomfortable.
• Having the emotional awareness to say, “I’m having a hard day.”
• Getting out of bed and showing up when it feels impossible.

Shame vs. Guilt

Many of us use these words interchangeably, but they carry very different weight.

💭 Guilt says: “I did something wrong.”
💭 Shame says: “There’s something wrong with me.”

Guilt can guide us toward growth, repair, and accountability.
Shame, on the other hand, makes us feel small and unworthy, often keeping us stuck instead of moving forward.

We are so excited to welcome Lucy to the team!!

Lucy is a compassionate and dedicated student therapist, currently completing her Master’s
Degree in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Lakehead University and has experience working with a range of client concerns, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, and child behavior. Lucy has experience supporting clients navigating ADHD, neurodiversity and emotional regulation.

Her therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy.

Lucy values creating a client-centered space where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Lucy works with teens and adults in individual counseling. Outside of her practice,
Lucy enjoys baking cookies and curling up with a good book, accompanied by her two bulldogs,
Winson and Remoh.

Lucy is currently has some availability for probono and low cost therapy.
