May 5 is the National Day of Awareness for
Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S+) in Canada

It is widely known as “Red Dress Day.”

The day honours/ pays respect to these lost but not forgotten souls.

Canada has disproportionately high rates of violence against Indigenous women and girls.

Universal Touch Holistics stands with recognition of this long standing crisis and calls for:

Justice for victims

Accountability from governments and institutions

Implementation of the Calls for Justice

We mourn for those missing and murdered women not just on the
5th day of May, but everyday this injustice remains.

We honour these souls and their families left behind.
