I had a dream to build a clinical practice that carried these important values. On this day, I am happy to share the values that we practice from. Our practice focuses on you - the client - not on external agendas, promotional strategies, or marketing trends.

Our core values reflect what guides our work every day as women’s mental health therapists.

These are not just statements we hold, but the foundation of how we show up in the therapy space, in our collegial relationships, and our ongoing professional development.

We are committed to providing care that is compassionate, individualized, and grounded in clinical integrity, while continually deepening our expertise in women’s mental health.

We also place the utmost importance on maintaining a practice that is trusted, ethical, and clinically respected within our province.

Above all, these values reflect our commitment to offering thoughtful, high-quality care that honours each client’s unique lived experience and supports meaningful, lasting growth.

Why do women lose connection of our identity?

Because somewhere along the way, many of us are taught that being needed matters more than knowing ourselves.

We lose pieces of who we are in different stages:
• the daughter trying to be “good”
• the wife who over-compromises
• the mother who puts herself last
• the caretaker, peacekeeper, emotional manager
• the woman shrinking herself to fit expectations, relationships, beauty standards, or survival

And it happens so quietly.

One day your needs become negotiable. Your hobbies disappear. Your opinions soften. Your body feels unfamiliar. You can’t remember the last thing you did just because you wanted to.

Women are often praised for self-sacrifice, flexibility, and emotional labor — so losing ourselves can look a lot like being “successful” at womanhood.

But rediscovering yourself doesn’t require becoming someone new. It starts with returning to yourself in small, honest ways:
• asking what you actually want
• noticing what drains vs. energizes you
• creating space to be alone with your own thoughts
• reconnecting with passions, boundaries, joy, anger, creativity, rest

And sometimes we have set aside the mom guilt (that will always come up) in order to prioritize our own needs.

Remember, your identity was never gone. Who you were may feel distant but who you want to be is not out of your reach. You are the only one that can uncover your identity from underneath everyone else’s expectations. We are ever evolving, learning, and our needs and interests are important too 🌸

As a woman-owned business, we’re especially mindful of how we use our time and resources, choosing to invest them directly into client care rather than added administrative systems.

We’re committed to keeping things simple so we can focus fully on you. We don’t offer direct billing, as the extra administration takes time and resources away from what matters most — your experience.

To support this approach and keep costs down, a credit card is required for all appointments. We appreciate your understanding and your support in helping us stay present, efficient, and client-focused.
