When wildfires threaten lives, community rises.
As wildfires continue to impact communities across northern Saskatchewan, we were contacted by our partners at the Prince Albert Grand Council with a heartbreaking concern — some evacuees had to flee their homes so quickly, they were unable to bring their mobility devices.
We made one call to Schaan Healthcare Products asking if they had any mobility aids in stock that the Foundation could provide to support northern residents in need. Not only did Schaan have everything that was needed — they donated all of it.
Wheelchairs, walkers, canes — no hesitation, no delay.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Schaan Healthcare, and Collin and Brent for the incredibly fast service and support, these urgently needed items have been delivered to PAGC for distribution to wildfire evacuees.
This is what partnership looks like. This is what community care looks like. And in moments like this, it makes all the difference.
