Emily joined our team after completing her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2025 and her Bachelors in Kinesiology in 2022 from the University of Saskatchewan. She first became involved with Craven SPORT Services during her undergraduate years, when she was a Strength & Conditioning Coach with our team.

Emily grew up dancing and baton twirling in Saskatoon. She competed on the international stage in team, pair, and individual baton twirling on four separate occasions, ending in 2019. Emily contributed to the local dance and baton community through a decade-long coaching career and by volunteering at local competitions. She is eager to reconnect with the community and explore opportunities in both dance and baton.

Clinically, Emily is interested in all parts of rehabilitation, with a particular focus on chronic conditions/pain and orthopaedics. She takes a personalized approach to care, prioritizing getting to know her patients and collaborating with them to achieve their individual goals. Emily’s mission is to help you uncover your “WHY” and use that as a foundation for progress.

Outside the clinic, you can find Emily hitting the gym, walking her dogs, knitting, and adding to her personal library. She loves trying new activities, setting fun goals, and she’s always open to recommendations for new adventures to explore!

❄️ Watch Your Step — Winter’s Here! ❄️

The first snowfall is always beautiful but it also brings slippery sidewalks, icy driveways, and an increased risk of slips and falls. A few quick tips to stay safe:
-Choose proper footwear: Opt for boots with good traction and non-slip soles.
-Take smaller steps: Slow down and keep your center of gravity over your feet.
-Watch for hidden ice: Fresh snow can disguise icy patches underneath.
-Use handrails when available: Especially on stairs or inclines.
-Stay mindful: Carry less, look ahead, and keep your hands free for balance.
A little caution goes a long way in preventing injury this season.

To better prepare yourself to stay healthy and avoid injury, reach out to your physiotherapist or strength & conditioning coach. They can help you develop an individualized program to improve movement mechanics, build strength, and make your body more resilient for whatever winter throws your way! Our Story

Craven SPORT services in Saskatoon was started by Karen Craven in 2006 as a one woman show out of Quantum Fitness. It didn’t take long to outgrow that space, and in November 2008, Craven SPORT services opened its first location on 2nd Avenue North. Bruce Craven came on board to join the business after working for the Sport Medicine and Science Council for 18 years. The business was continuing to grow at a rapid pace, and in 2012 we moved to the building across the street, where the current Craven SPORT services resides. As of right now, we have 14 physiotherapists, 2 massage therapists, 9 strength and conditioning coaches, 1 dietitian and more to help you overcome pain, heal chronic injuries and reach new fitness goals. Learn about our unique focus on whole body health and wellness, and book an appointment to start your journey.
