Dr. Kennedy opened her first non-dispensing practice in 2015, her second one in 2018, and then amalgamated them into one large full-scope private practice in 2020! Dr. Kennedy assembled a team that she is confident can take care of all of her patients’ needs from the moment they walk in the door to when they leave. And a fun little fact… Kim and Dr. Kennedy actually met on a flight to Mexico. They ended up sitting next to each other, instantly clicked, and the rest is history. Now she’s here with us and we couldn’t be happier.

Happy birthday to two of our amazing team members, Kim and Tanis! 🎉

Kim (Nov 29) is our certified optometric assistant and resident early bird who’s up before sunrise, usually dreaming of peaceful forests, art museums, and her next weekend relaxation getaway. She’s a total 90s and 2000s fan, loves her Lifestyle Progressive lenses, and never skips her sunglasses.

Tanis (Nov 30) is our clinic manager and dry eye + aesthetics guru. She’s as bright and positive as the morning sun she loves to catch with her coffee (and Roni by her side, of course). Her vibe? A mix of angsty teenage music, fresh air, animal cuddles, and sunglasses—always.

We’re so lucky to have these two incredible women on our team—keeping us inspired, laughing, and seeing clearly every day. 💛

Our Story

Dr. Courtney Kennedy decided to come back to Saskatoon to open Kennedy Eye Clinic in April 2015. Kennedy Eye Clinic is located inside of Factory Optical with two locations: one in Stonebridge and one in Lawson Heights Mall. The business model here is not traditional because there are two independent businesses operating within the same space meaning the Optometrists will not put any pressure on the patients to purchase any glasses or contact lenses.
