Exciting Announcement!

I am thrilled to share that, starting April 1st, 2026, private primary care nurse practitioners will officially be covered under every provincial healthcare system! This long-awaited recognition of nurse practitioners as primary care providers marks a significant milestone in improving access to quality healthcare across the country.

In just less than a year and a half, patients will be able to access the care they need without additional fees.

Please note that until April 1st, 2026, current patients will continue to be responsible for the fee-for-service structure. I appreciate your understanding and continued support during this transition.

Thank you for trusting nurse practitioners with your healthcare, and we look forward to offering even more accessible care in the near future!

Finding a provider that takes their time to hear your concerns can be tough. This is especially true if your provider is restricted by appointment time limits or you can’t call and request that urgent questions or concerns be passed on and addressed in a timely manner.

A major issue I see in primary care is the frustration of patients who do not feel heard. Listening to the patient is a top priority of mine. The time frame you book is for us to dive into concerns that need to be addressed to improve your quality of life. There is no “one concern only” statement at the beginning of appointments. There is no two to three week delay in getting an appointment. There is no invalidation of your long term symptoms that you find important to figure out, even if your bloodwork comes back normal. Your concerns will not fall silent if you call the clinic needing an urgent call back for mental health matters or important medication refills.

Depending on the length of the appointment booked, we can discuss multiple concerns and deal with them in a timely manner. If you have a pressing concern that requires me to touch base with you sooner rather than later, I will contact you as soon as possible.

Your time is worthwhile and your health is important. Healthcare shouldn’t be as structured and difficult to access.

Book your meet & greet today. I’m here to listen. ♡

✨ATTENTION TO ALL CURRENT PATIENTS AND NON-PATIENTS✨

The perimenopausal & menopausal phases can bring about uncomfortable & sometimes debilitating symptoms that reduce overall quality of life. Up to 80% of perimenopausal women experience hot flashes, insomnia, fatigue, &/or mood changes. Postmenopausal women often experience vaginal symptoms including dryness, painful in*******se, itching, & recurrent urinary tract infections.

Hormone, non-hormonal, &/or vaginal therapies are safe & effective in reducing these symptoms & improving quality of life. However, being referred to someone who specializes in this area can be a long process, as lengthy wait times are an unfortunate reality.

This is where I can help! I am currently taking current patients AND, for the first time, NON-PATIENTS, for perimenopausal & postmenopausal symptom management. We can work together to make a plan to target your symptoms so you can enjoy each day again.

NON-PATIENTS can call reception (306-665-9773) or book online with Jane App with the link in my bio:
- One 60-minute ($150) intake appointment where we discuss your health history, assess for any contraindications to therapy, check your vitals, and order labs to rule out any organic causes of your symptoms (NOTE: you must fill out the initial intake form emailed to you prior to your appointment)

After your first session, we will book a second appointment once lab results are back:
- One 45-minute ($120) appointment to discuss lab results, speak about medications & non-medicinal options, initiate therapy, and send a summary note to your current provider.

Further appointments for follow up or ongoing concerns can be booked as needed.

CURRENT PATIENTS can book a 60-minute ($150) initial appointment and a 30-minute ($95) second appointment, which includes all of the same therapy without a provider summary.

These phases are ones every single woman transitions through. It doesn’t have to be so hard. Let’s work together to improve your symptoms so you can enjoy everyday life again 🤎

Hello, everyone!

Mackenzie is currently accepting adult patients (ages 18+) for private general primary care appointments in Saskatoon. All regular primary care concerns can be addressed by nurse practitioners (NPs). A meet and greet appointment is mandatory prior to booking other appointments.

Mackenzie strives to build trusting relationships with her patients and believes that a holistic view of health is essential in primary care. Mackenzie prioritizes patient advocacy and ensures that the best possible care can be provided for each individual patient.

It is important to note that at this time, Mackenzie provides private services, which means that appointments must be paid for. Appointment costs are as follows: $150/60 minutes, $120/45 minutes, $95/30 minutes, and $65/15 minutes. Appointment fees are subject to change with short notice as required.

Mackenzie's fees are covered under select insurance plans that have health spending plans. Since all patients deserve equal access to care, Mackenzie has created advocacy templates that patients and others can personalize and send to their MLAs and insurance companies. There will be ongoing efforts to get her services covered for everyone.

Mackenzie Bauer is a nurse practitioner offering comprehensive private primary care services to those ages 13 and up at Summit Sports + Health in Saskatoon.
