Winter Solstice or Yule.

No matter, it's today.

Yule marks the turning point of the year, where the longest night gives way to the gradual return of light. Rooted in Norse and Germanic traditions, Yule celebrates the symbolic death and rebirth of the sun—a moment that signifies hope, renewal, and transformation. Theme of the day is protection, abundance, return of the light.

The vibe has been low-key all day. Enjoying coffee, visiting, snacks, and time with family. Taking time to pause, reflect, and celebrate how connected everything is.

Using my diffuser with Black Spruce to assist with cleansing and lifting up the spirit (and the smell of the outdoors indoors is a win too).

The tree is up, and the lights are on as we settle into the longest night of the year. So very quickly we will be celebrating the return of Spring.

I took time today to connect with my witchy and weird friends, and shared a dream I had last night, and the gift I received in that dream.

So, tonight, feel free to light a candle, diffuse something, smudge, and reflect and enjoy knowing the longest night gives way to the return of the Sun.

Today's energy reading is all about ancestral work and the heart Chakra.

In addition the Knight of Wands. Combative of Fire. Creative imagination and Idealism.

In my meditation this morning my matriarch ancestry came up, and, reminded me to never underestimate the power of that family lineage. Power of love. Of perseverance. Of growth. And mostly, of continuation despite any hardships. A testimony to the soft side of f**k around and find out. Not every battle is won on the battle field.

The Heart Chakra isn't feeling closed or locked up, it's feeling lost. Almost forgotten. Take time today to do your ancestral work and dig into the heart of the matters. About the relationship you have with yourself first, then the relationships you have with others.

It's my birthday and today's Tarot of the day is the King of Swords

Representing structure, routine, self discipline. Using your head. Mind over matter and head over heart.

As a person the king of swords is a mature male that is cool, self-disciplined, intelligent, honest and strong. Preferring to use intellect over emotions. Fiercely loyal and protective of his loved ones.
