Friday the 13th plans?💀
Something spooky? Or snacks and an early bedtime?

Honestly… I’m considering faking a power outage just to see what the kids do.
Let the chaos begin.
Because really… what’s scarier than no WiFi? 😆

Sometimes the parts of you that are hardest to love…
are the parts that kept you safe.

The guarded part.
The overthinking part.
The “I’ll handle it myself” part.

That wasn’t broken.
That was survival.

Healing is just learning you’re safe enough to soften now.

Do you ever have those weeks where you feel like doing absolutely nothing… And suddenly one random day you wake up with energy to do ALL the things?

Clean the house.
Organize life.
Start projects

Feeling like Cinderella and doing all the things inside the home but outside is still a mess and in winter mode still...

Tell me I’m not the only one.

What’s the one thing you suddenly get motivated to do when that energy hits?

WTF snow.

One minute you feel exhausted for weeks.
No energy.
No motivation.

Then suddenly one day you wake up ready to clean the house, organize life, and become a productive human again.

And you look outside…

Snow.
Still snow.
More snow.

I swear winter messes with our brains.

But I realized something interesting about that burst of energy.

It doesn’t mean you were lazy before.
Your body was resting.

I wrote a blog about that weird moment when your energy finally comes back after a long winter.

You can read it here:

Also… if winter has had your brain all over the place, journaling has been one of the best ways I reset my mind.

That’s exactly why I created Rising Strong.

Sometimes getting your thoughts out of your head and onto paper makes everything feel lighter.

There’s a strange moment that happens near the end of winter. For weeks you feel tired. Unmotivated. Kind of blah. The house is messy. Laundry exists in mysterious piles. Your brain feels like it’s been running in low-battery mode. And then suddenly… One day you wake up with energy again. Y

International Women’s Day✨️⚘️

Let’s talk about women for a second.
Not the polished Instagram version.
Not the “has it all together” version.

I’m talking about the women who are tired.
The women healing.
The women rebuilding their lives one messy day at a time.
The women who are raising kids, working jobs, holding families together, fighting battles no one else sees, and still showing up.

The women learning how to love themselves again after life knocked them on their ass.
The women who survived things they shouldn’t have had to survive.

That’s the kind of strength I celebrate today.
Not perfection.
Not pressure.

Real women. Real growth. Real resilience.
If you’re still standing, still trying, still figuring life out…

You’re already doing something powerful.
So today, be proud of the woman you are becoming.

Even if she’s still a little tired, healing, and drinking coffee while whispering “what the hell am I doing?” ☕

That version of you counts too.
Happy International Women’s Day to the strong, the soft, the messy, the healing, and the rising.
We’re all rising strong in our own way.

So I’ve taken a few weeks to focus on me and my family.
This winter has been rough. The colds, sickness, exhaustion… it just seems to keep going around.

Sometimes life reminds us to slow down whether we planned to or not.

It’s a good reminder that we need to take time for ourselves too. Not the fancy “perfect self care” kind. Just the real kind where you actually let yourself breathe for a minute.

Here are 5 simple things you can do for yourself this week:
✨️Take a no social media day. The world will survive without your scrolling for 24 hours.

✨️Go for a quiet walk. No pressure, no step goals. Just fresh air and a reset for your brain.

✨️Have a slow coffee or tea moment. Sit down, wrap up in a blanket, and actually enjoy it instead of rushing.

✨️Write out what’s on your mind. Journaling, notes in your phone, whatever works. Let it out.

✨️Go to bed early without feeling guilty about it. Rest is productive too.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply pause and take care of yourself.

What’s one thing you’ve done lately to recharge? 💭

What if the part of you that feels hard to love…
is the same part that helped you survive?

Put some respect on her name.
She learned to stay alert.
To protect.
To hold it together when things weren’t safe.

But now…
you’re learning something new.
You’re learning it’s safe to rest.
Safe to soften.
Safe to be worthy without proving anything.

You don’t need to erase who you were to become who you’re becoming.
She carried you this far.

Now you get to live… not just survive.

After a hysterectomy, the hormones still crash and surge.
You feel hot, emotional, vulnerable for no clear reason.
Your energy disappears out of nowhere.
Naps become your best friend.
And yet… life still expects you to function.
No one really tells you that you can experience postpartum-like depression after a hysterectomy.
No one prepares you for how off your body and mind can feel.
You’re just supposed to “bounce back.”
But healing isn’t bouncing back.
It’s learning balance again.
Slower days.
Lower expectations.
Listening to your body instead of fighting it.
I wish someone would’ve told me this part.
So if you’re here and feeling “off” and can’t explain why… you’re not broken.
Your body is recalibrating.
Give yourself some grace while you find your rhythm again.

So tell me…
👇 What did you feel after your hysterectomy?
Hot flashes? Exhaustion? Emotional whiplash? Brain fog?
Let’s talk about the part no one prepared us for. 🤪

Burnout check 🫠

If you’re feeling this…
☐ Tired but wired
☐ Annoyed at literally everything
☐ Brain = foggy chaos
☐ Body hurts for no clear reason
☐ Zero motivation, all the guilt
☐ Running on coffee and vibes
☐ One minor inconvenience away from losing it

Pause. Right. Here.
This isn’t laziness.
This isn’t you “not trying hard enough.”
This is burnout.

You don’t need to earn rest.
You don’t need permission.
You don’t need to finish the thing first.

Rest is not a reward.
It’s maintenance.
Your body isn’t being dramatic.
It’s waving a tiny red flag.
Cancel something. Sit down. Do less.
The world will survive.

If this post annoyed you a little…
yeah. That means it’s for you.🖤

Do you ever get hit with the "unknown" so hard you’re like… what the f**k just happened?
How did I get here?
What on earth is going on right now?
Everything hits at once.
You feel a sense of loss, confusion, and no idea what the next step is supposed to be.

Yeah… me too. I’ve been there.
Maybe this is growth.
Maybe you’re outgrowing who you used to be.
Maybe it’s a challenge to see if what you asked for is really meant for you.
Who knows what it is.

But deep down, you know.
And you’ll face it head on.
You’ll push through it.
You’ll dig yourself out of the s**t.

Because that’s what Rising Strong looks like. 🖤

When things are out of your control, it can feel unsettling, frustrating, and honestly exhausting. We’re so used to trying to fix, manage, and hold everything together that letting go feels wrong. But sometimes the most self-loving thing you can do is admit, “This isn’t mine to carry.” If it’s out of your hands, it’s okay to place it back into the universe’s. Trust that things are unfolding the way they’re meant to, even if it doesn’t make sense right now. Detours aren’t punishments, pauses aren’t failures, and delays don’t mean you’re doing something wrong. The universe has a plan, and sometimes your only job is to breathe, soften your grip, and trust that what’s meant for you will find you right on time.
