In yoga, we often talk about yin and yang—two complementary energies that bring balance to body, mind, and spirit.
✨ Yin is the moon, the night, the soft and inward pull. You’ll feel yin in our Restorative, Yin, Sound Bath and Yoga Nidra classes—slowing down, calming the nervous system, and nourishing from the inside out.
🔥 Yang is the sun, the day, the vibrant spark of action. You’ll tap into yang energy in our Flow, Vinyasa, and Power classes—building strength, generating heat, and releasing energy through movement.
⚖️ And then there’s the sweet spot in between: classes that blend yin and yang. These practices begin with dynamic movement to warm the body and shift energy, then soften into restorative stillness to ground and integrate.
At The Healing Loft, we honour all parts of the cycle: the fire, the calm, and the balance where they meet. Each style offers something your body and spirit need.
🧘 Which calls to you today… yin, yang, or a little of both?

🌙 There’s something about evening yoga… 🌙
As the sun sets, movement feels different. Our early evening classes invite you to flow: warming the body, moving energy, and shaking off the day.
Then, as night settles in, the practice shifts. Later evening classes guide you into yin and restorative styles: slowing down, grounding deeply, and preparing you for a restful night.
Every evening at The Healing Loft offers a rhythm: first the energy of movement, then the calm of stillness. ✨
And if you join us for both back to back: flow followed by restore, it’s the absolute ultimate evening reset. 💫
🧘 Which evening practice calls to you most—flow, restore…or both?

🍂October Energy at The Healing Loft 🍂
October invites us to slow down, ground into the present, and connect with gratitude as the seasons shift. The crisp air, falling leaves, and golden sunsets remind us of the beauty in letting go. Just as trees release their leaves, we too are invited to release what no longer serves us.
✨ This month in your practice, try setting an intention like:
“I ground myself in the present moment.”
“I release what I cannot control.”
“I invite peace, balance, and clarity.”
Mantras to carry into your practice:
So Hum (I am that — a reminder of connection to the universe)
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti (invoking peace in body, mind, and spirit)
“I am rooted. I am strong. I am ready for change.”
Take a deep breath, let October’s grounding energy flow through you, and allow your practice to be a space of reflection, release, and renewal. 🌙✨

✨ Let this be a reminder to move from the heart: fluid when movement is needed, steady when strength is called for, and always a place where love can flow.
Words by Mark Nepo, a poet whose reflections invite us to stay open, tender, and wise. 🌿
🤍 What does your heart need most today — softness, strength, or stillness?

As September closes, we’re reminded that life moves in seasons.
A warm cup of tea. A journal by your side. The golden glow of autumn sunsets.
✨ Slow living is medicine.
✨ It’s the little things that bring us back home to ourselves.
How are you soaking in the last moments of September? 🍂

✨Weekend Reset ✨
When the week has been full, simple movements can bring you back into balance. Here are a few of our favourite at-home poses to wind down:
🌙 Child’s Pose (Balasana) – melts away tension and calms the nervous system.
🌙 Legs Up the Wall (Viparita Karani) – supports circulation and soothes the mind.
🌙 Supine Twist – eases the low back and rinses out stress.
🌙 Savasana – the ultimate rest to integrate it all.
No fancy setup required, just a quiet corner, your mat, and a few deep breaths.
✨ Release. Reset. Restore. ✨
