Moving season 🚛 is soon upon us! If you’re planning to move this year, here are 5 tips for a smooth journey!

✅Declutter first! Don’t pay to move items that you don’t really need.
✅Book your mover. The end/beginning of the month fill up fast, make sure you schedule well ahead of time so you’re not scrambling.
✅Collect your packing supplies, and start packing items you don’t need often
✅Plan your new space, make sure your furniture will fit.
✅Pack and label by room. This makes unpacking on the other end much faster.

Delegate The Dishes 🍽️!

1️⃣The ones you’re cooking/preparing 🍖 - Don’t feel you need to supply and prepare everything on your own
If you don’t know how to cook well (or your guests don’t), they can bring:
🍷 drinks
🍰dessert
🧊bag of ice

2️⃣The ones you’re washing 🍴
Delegate dishwashing to the dishwasher 🫧
✅use dishwasher safe dishes, run the dishwasher a few times: while you’re preparing and while guests are over
✅Don’t have a dishwasher? Your china pattern is now Chinet for the weekend 🍽️!
There are ecofriendly ♻️options available made of paper and other biodegradable materials🌿.
✅It’s okay to use disposables for special occasions if it allows you to be more relaxed and spend time focused on enjoying the company of your guests👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

What no one tells you about aging…

Your mom carried a diaper bag for you when you were little👶. One day you may need to pack one for her👵.

As your family members age, you may find you need to do more planning before you leave the house.

As an here’s what I take with me for outings and medical appointments with my clients.

✅wipes - a few kinds
✅disposable gloves
✅wet bags
✅extra change of clothes
✅medical requisitions and list of meds ✅pen and notebook
✅car cane
✅life vac
✅powerbank
✅snacks and water
✅medications
✅incontinence products

Are you ready for allergy season 🤧?

Preparing for the season ahead is one step in the right direction towards leading an organized life.

Here’s some helpful info from Jonathan from on how to be ready when allergies do hit.

Many pharmacies offer OTC allergy meds like oral antihistamines but now in Ontario, Pharmacists can prescribe allergy mediations that require a prescription.

This saves you time, as it helps to avoid scheduling and travelling to a doctor’s appointment, and missing time from work.

This cost for this service is covered by OHIP (just like regular doctor’s visits) so it’s also budget friendly. Just make sure you bring a valid Ontario Health card with you.

Whenever I find moisture inside a home it’s never a good sign 😱.

A small amount of moisture can be a sign of bigger problems, like hidden leaks or lurking mould.

Always investigate any leaks/damp areas right away, even if it’s only a small amount of water. Delaying could lead to further damage and more repairs in the future.
