Partnering with Arbonne wasn’t in my life plan but I’m so grateful I kept an open mind and gave this business a shot.

We never know what will come in and interrupt our life but we can create something that will help us brace for impact.

This business is what I wish I had when I lost my Dad and had to leave work when I was five months pregnant.

It’s what I wish I had when the pandemic hit, nearly destroying my business & taking a huge financial toll on me & my family.

It’s what I wish I had when I was sick. To be able to work from my phone while healing? What an incredible thing that would be.

Now that I’m healthy and in a place where I can work to build an incredible legacy health and wellness business, I’m running full force towards my wildest dreams.

A topic that I’m so passionate about. I’ve dealt with painful digestion and bloating my entire life. I always felt so uncomfortable after eating and would opt for clothes to cover my tummy because it would get so distended.

Through the years of pain, confusion, embarrassment, and eventually a Crohn’s diagnosis, I fought to find ways to heal and have poured my heart into this post to help others who may be in that place I was once in.

We’ve all experienced bloating—that “too full” feeling that makes your stomach feel tight, swollen, or uncomfortable.

It’s a common issue that can happen for many reasons, like eating too much, not staying hydrated, not moving our body enough, certain food sensitivities, or even an imbalance in your gut microbiome.

A healthy gut plays a big role in preventing bloating, and supporting it with prebiotics, probiotics, and digestive enzymes can make a difference.

Have you been feeling the urge to cut down on your alcohol intake or quit drinking altogether?

I know it can seem difficult at first — especially when alcohol use (and abuse) is so widely accepted as the norm.

It’s ingrained in every social setting + promoted on every tv show, it’s at parties, family dinners, concerts, weddings. You name it.

The alcohol industry has done an incredible job of making mothers in particular feel incapable of handling stress without it. (We’ll get to the marketing of alcohol to mothers another day…)

I noticed it was time to cut it out when I found it was taking away more from my life than it was giving me.
I was relying on it to cope with stress without realizing that the effect alcohol has on our bodies makes our stress response worse.

When I quit I was lucky to find some great resources online and this was one of the things that stuck with me.

The Three R’s - Reflect, Replace & Reinforce:

1. Reflect - Turn Inward. Why are you making this change? Why have you been turning to alcohol? What are you avoiding or chasing? Self awareness is key to sobriety. This is where you can begin to develop new healthy coping mechanisms for dealing with discomfort or stress.

2. Replace - Replace drinking for healthier habits. Swap your alcoholic drink out for a mock tail. There are so many amazing recipes online + more restaurants are offering them now.

I like to bring some Fizz with me to concerts when the only options are beer, water and pop. Fizz makes for a perfect little mocktail on the go.

3. Reinforce - Reinforce why you want to slow down or quit drinking altogether. Think of the person you want to be (for yourself or your loved ones) Would they be drinking right now?

Every single persons relationship with alcohol is different so this journey will be unique to you.

I highly recommend getting a journal to write in when you are tempted to drink. Write out your thoughts and feelings.

Follow the three R’s. Envision the person you want to be, the life you want outside of alcohol.

You’ve got this.
