Today, on World Cancer Day, the Terry Fox Foundation hosted a webinar to provide an update on their projects and research.
One statistic that really jumped out: 250,000 Canadians will hear the words “you have cancer” this year. That’s why the work being done matters so deeply.
Through the Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network, the Foundation is uniting cancer centres across Canada—at the request of hospitals and research institutions—to close the gap between clinical research and patient care. By sharing results, data, and best practices, this network is improving access to targeted treatments and ensuring better outcomes for Canadians, including those in underrepresented and rural communities like the Pontiac.
This is what Terry’s vision looks like in action!
A heartfelt thank you to our walkers, runners, cyclists, volunteers, and donors who have supported the Shawville Run for so many years. Know that your efforts fuel progress and hope right here, in our community.
