Entry Three is live.

This one was the hardest to write.

It’s about the moment no parent is ever prepared for —
when love is no longer enough to save, and hope no longer looks like recovery.

It’s about being asked to decide.
About the pause in the room where everything collapses.
About carrying love into an impossible shape and still choosing from it.

This entry is not tidy.
It does not offer comfort clichés or clean answers.
It names the devastation, the identity rupture, the aftermath that lives on in the body long after the machines are quiet.

If you have walked this path —
If you have been asked to make a decision no one should ever have to make —
this is for you.

And if you haven’t, read with gentleness.
This is sacred ground.

February 2, 9, 16 & 23 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

This powerful class combining yoga nidra and sound healing will help bring profound relaxation and emotional clarity. Both practices are rooted in ancient wisdom, with sound healing utilizing instruments like crystal singing bowls and chimes to promote balance. The harmonic vibrations can resonate with the body, affecting everything from cellular structures to the energy fields (or auras) around us. Yoga nidra, also known as “yogic sleep,” guides you into a state of conscious relaxation where the body deeply rests while the mind remains aware. It creates a perfect setting for healing to occur, as it opens space for the release of stored tension, trauma, and stress.

Together, they can facilitate the removal of energetic blockages, enhance self-awareness, and promote emotional well-being. This blend can really help someone reconnect with their true essence and align with universal energy.

Restorative yoga is a gentle, calming practice that encourages deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and healing. Unlike more active forms of yoga, restorative yoga focuses on slowing down, offering a space where you can deeply rest and restore both the body and mind. The practice involves holding passive postures for extended periods, using props like blankets, bolsters, and blocks to fully support the body and create comfort.

The aim is not to stretch or strengthen, but to activate the parasympathetic nervous system — the body’s natural state of rest and repair. As you settle into long-held poses and soften into your breath, you allow tension to dissolve, circulation to improve, and stillness to return.

01/01/2026

We are crossing a threshold.

The Year of the Snake didn’t ask us to perform.
It asked us to listen.
To slow down enough to feel what was no longer true.
To shed quietly — identities, timelines, roles — not because they were wrong, but because they were complete.

Snake energy works beneath the surface.
It teaches us through stillness, patience, and deep bodily wisdom.
It doesn’t force transformation.
It waits until the skin loosens on its own.

And now — the skin is off.

The Year of the Horse arrives with a different current entirely.
Not rushed.
Not chaotic.
But unmistakably forward.

Where the Snake coils inward, the Horse moves with clarity.
Where the Snake prepares in the dark, the Horse carries us into motion and light.
This is movement born from integration — not pressure.
Action that rises because the body is ready, not because the mind is panicking.

Horse energy does not sprint blindly.
It moves when the direction is honest.
It commits when the path is clear.

This is what 2026 feels like.

A year of embodied momentum.
Of trusting what you’ve already lived through.
Of letting experience — not urgency — lead.
Of traveling lighter, leaving behind what cannot keep pace, and allowing the body to guide while the soul sets the direction.

If the Snake year prepared us quietly,
the Horse year invites us to move boldly — rooted, integrated, and awake.

May this year support clean choices.
Honest movement.
And a deeper trust in your own momentum.

Before this year releases you, let yourself be still.
Not to review the damage.
Not to replay what should’ve gone differently.
Not to turn survival into a personal failure.

Just pause long enough to feel this truth land in your body:
you lived through things that reshaped you —
and you are still breathing. Still here. Still becoming.

There were moments you held everything together with quiet courage.
Moments you kept going with a heart that was tired but open.
Moments you chose softness in a world that rewards armor.

That mattered.

The next year does not arrive to test you.
It comes slowly.
Gently.
As if it knows you’ve already carried enough.

This is not a reset.
It’s a return.

A return to your hands.
To your breath.
To the parts of you that learned to disappear just to stay safe —
and are now ready to be welcomed home.

You don’t need to rush your healing.
You don’t need to perform growth.
You don’t need to prove resilience.

Healing will feel less like forward motion and more like remembering —
like choosing yourself in quiet, ordinary moments again and again.

You will stop abandoning your body to be accepted.
You will stop shrinking to be chosen.
You will begin — even while unsure, even while tender — and that will be enough.

And one day, when you look back,
you won’t mark the year by what changed around you.

You’ll recognize the miracle for what it was:
you stayed.
You softened.
You came back to yourself.

Things we are NOT bringing into 2026:

• Calling survival mode “just how I am”
• Healing that lives only in the mind
• Pushing through at the expense of the body
• Confusing hyper-vigilance with intuition
• Wearing exhaustion like proof of worth
• Staying silent to feel safe
• Forcing growth instead of feeling safety
• Repeating patterns just because they’re familiar
• Over-functioning so no one else has to
• Ignoring the nervous system and hoping mindset alone will fix it

2026 isn’t about becoming more disciplined.
It’s about becoming more regulated.

Because a nervous system stuck in survival will shape your relationships, your health, your decisions, your ability to receive.

This is the year we stop forcing healing and start building safety from the inside out.

Not louder.
Not harder.
Not faster.

Safer.

Entry Two: The In-Between

This piece lives in the suspended space — where time stops behaving normally, where hope and dread sit side by side,
where a mother stands watch and the body never truly rests.

It’s about waiting.
About loving fiercely with no guarantees.
About the trauma that begins before there are answers.

This is not an easy read.
It’s not meant to be.

If you’ve ever known that unbearable space where everything hangs — this is for you.

Gentle note: this entry speaks to medical trauma and parental grief. Please take care of yourself as you read.

A new layer is emerging within The Healer Within.

I’m beginning to offer ecosomatics — a body-based healing practice that unfolds in relationship with the living land.

This work happens outdoors, intentionally.

Not to admire nature.
Not to walk and talk.
But to let the body remember how to listen when it’s held by earth, wind, sound, and rhythm.

Ecosomatics invites us to slow down enough to feel how the body responds to place.
To notice where tension softens when feet meet soil.
How breath changes when the body senses space and safety.
How the nervous system begins to settle when it no longer has to orient to walls, clocks, or expectations.

This is not about observation.
It’s about participation.

The land becomes a co-regulator.
The body becomes the guide.
Healing happens not through effort — but through relationship.

This work is subtle, honest, and deeply embodied.
It’s for those who are ready to move beyond thinking about healing and into experiencing it.

You’ll begin to see ecosomatics woven into outdoor offerings within The Healer Within —through breath, stillness, sound, and somatic presence.

Not as an activity.
But as a remembering.

This piece stands outside my grief series.

Grief is not just emotional—it’s physical. This entry explores what happens when grief is postponed, how the body keeps the score, and why sometimes stillness arrives through illness when we don’t choose it ourselves.

I’ve been quietly writing something deeply personal.

This is not a story of healing or inspiration. It’s a story of grief — real, raw, devastating grief — after losing my 13-year-old daughter to su***de.

This blog series is called Holding the Unthinkable: A Mother’s Journey Through Grief.

It tells the truth about what happens when a child dies, what happens inside a mother, and what the world doesn’t know how to sit with.

I’m sharing this because silence helps no one.
Because grief like this is isolating.
Because maybe, somewhere, someone needs to know they’re not alone in the unbearable.

This is written with honesty, care, and respect — and shared with love for those who are walking their own impossible paths.

Content note: This series discusses su***de, medical trauma, and parental grief. If you need support in Canada, you can call or text 988 anytime.
