This family is close to my heart and it is such a blessing to have walked alongside them and witnessed both their beautiful children’s emergence into this world! So grateful! 🙏🏽💕

Hey there, I’m Katherine! It’s been a while since I did an introduction post so I figured the new year would be fitting! Welcome to my page! I am SO happy to have you here! 🌷

I’m a mother, wife, doula, childbirth educator, registered massage therapist & traditional herbalist. My own birth experiences (first-hospital, second-home water birth) led me into doula work; my soul fire and my calling. ✨

I stand grounded in the knowledge that childbirth is a natural, transformative and spiritual experience that works best and is safest when undisturbed, honoured and compassionately supported. Drawing on almost 12 years of experience, I support families in their prenatal months through educational home visits and during labour by nurturing and guiding women to trust their bodies, instincts & inner wisdom.

I live in rural Strathcona County and support families
* under midwifery care * in Sherwood Park, Edmonton and surrounding rural areas.

💡 Exciting Study Alert! 💡

A recent clinical trial published in the International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing shows the powerful impact of the Spinning Babies® approach!

When labor and delivery nurses at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Florida adopted our techniques, their cesarean rate dropped from 27% to 14%. 🙌

This study reinforces the importance of supporting the body’s natural alignment and movement to create smoother, more balanced birth experiences. When birth professionals are equipped with the right knowledge and skills, we can reduce interventions and improve outcomes for both parents and babies.

The strongest woman I know just birthed her beautiful second baby boy. You would not believe the challenges that life has put this incredible soul through and being able to support her through both of her births has been such a blessing. She has taught me so much about strength, love and determination. She is an incredible human being and wonderful mother to her boys. Doula support team with the wonderful Arielle from .connection! ✨3 in-home, prenatal visits (2.5 -3 hours/visit), covering: your vision for your birth and what choices support that vision, optimal nutrition and movement, stages of labour, surrendering to the power of birth, trusting our bodies, birth and our intuition, the benefits and risks of common medical procedures and interventions, natural pain management options, comfort measures, optimal positions for labour, home birth planning, postpartum planning and nourishment, and much more!
✨Unlimited phone/text/email support throughout your pregnancy
✨Referrals and evidence based resources
✨Continuous, compassionate and skilled, physical and emotional support during your labour, birth and immediate postpartum (1-2 hours after birth)
✨Access to all of my doula comfort tools during labour such as massage therapy, birth ball, peanut ball, heat pack, essential oils, etc
✨Photos during labour and immediate postpartum, if desired and when possible, on your camera or phone
✨Breastfeeding support
✨One in-home postpartum visit, within the first week of birth
✨Unlimited phone/text/email support in the first 6 weeks postpartum
