Heavy bleed days require a little extra support — especially when it comes to iron and minerals.

I served mine with sweet potato mashed with walnuts, cinnamon + honey, and creamy avocado for hormone-supportive healthy fats. Warm, grounding meals like this help keep energy stable and digestion calm during your bleed phase.

Here’s why this combo works:
• Steak = heme iron (your body absorbs this form best)
• Pair it with vitamin C–rich foods to boost absorption
• Sweet potato + walnuts help support blood sugar + inflammation
• Avocado adds hormone-supportive healthy fats

But! Every body is different — some women feel amazing with red meat on their bleed days, while others find it heavy or crampy. Always tune into what your body needs.

Gentler iron options if steak isn’t your vibe that day:
• eggs
• lentils + beans
• dark leafy greens
• beets
• bone broth

Wow—what a weekend!!
Feeling so blessed and inspired after my first ever SOLO trip—just me, my car, and a whole lot of passion for wellness and connection.

I headed to Calgary for a nutrition mixer on Friday night with followed by a full Saturday of learning and connection at their 17th annual nutrition conference! (FYI this conference is open to everyone! Not just nutrition consultants!) The day was packed with 5 amazing speakers, a vibrant trade show, and so many opportunities to connect with fellow nutritionist enthusiasts, wellness brands, and supplement companies I admire! It was also so nice to finally meet so many faces in person after a year of online learning together. I even got to meet an Olympic gold medalist—and hold the medal! How cool!

After the conference, I drove to Canmore for a peaceful solo night and too myself out in a date for lamb dinner! The next morning, I spent the day exploring Canmore and Banff, and I soaked in the Banff Hot Springs before heading home! I had to stop at The Light Cellar on my way home to grab a few herbal goodies to conclude my trip.

Feeling so blessed, rejuvenated, and grateful for this beautiful adventure—and for all the little wellness treasures I brought back with me!

Period Power Bites 🌸

These stunning, nutrient-packed bites are perfect for supporting your cycle and easing PMS symptoms like bloating, anxiety, and fatigue. Plus, I added a floral twist to make them even more special!

✨ Benefits:
• Pumpkin seeds: High in zinc to balance hormones and reduce cramps.
• Walnuts: Packed with omega-3s to reduce inflammation and improve mood.
• Dates: Natural sweetness and fiber for digestive support.
• Lavender & roses: Calm anxiety and promote relaxation.
• Dark chocolate: Rich in magnesium for muscle relaxation and stress relief.
• Butterfly pea flower & calendula: Full of antioxidants to support overall wellness.

✨ Recipe:
• 1 cup shelled pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
• 1 cup walnuts
• 2 tsp dried culinary lavender
• 1/2 tsp fine grain sea salt
• 1 tbsp vanilla extract
• 16 Medjool dates, pitted
• 2 cups chopped dark chocolate (I used a mix of %70 and %100)
• 1 square cacao butter or coconut oil (I used coconut oil)
• 🌹 Added roses to the paste and topped with lavender, butterfly pea flower, roses, and calendula!

✨ Method:
1️⃣ Blend pumpkin seeds, walnuts, lavender, salt, and vanilla in a food processor until a nut butter consistency forms.
2️⃣ Stuff the pitted dates with the paste.
3️⃣ Freeze stuffed dates while melting chocolate and coconut oil (or cacao butter) in a double boiler.
4️⃣ Coat stuffed dates in the melted chocolate, place them on a parchment-lined pan, and top with herbs and flaky sea salt.
5️⃣ Freeze for 1 hour, then transfer to freezer-safe bags for storage.
