My son, Lance Bernard, 26, recently was assaulted and sustained a severe brain trauma injury that has left him with some medical challenges and is unable to work at this time. He has other challenges as well that will need to be addressed in the coming weeks. We are fundraising to make sure he receives treatments and will not have to be on year long waiting lists, as his brain injury rehabilitation is urgent if he is to be able to meet the other serious challenges in his life. We thank all for their prayers and support during this crisis and ask for continued prayers for Lance's healing and for justice. Please support in any way you can, donations, prayers and support is greatly appreciated. Lance and his wife Elisa have a large family of 5 children and are expecting twin in the Fall. I will be selling tickets on a Justice Star Quilt for Lance's fund and also will be having an auction in the coming weeks. We will also be doing a toll gate in Indian Brook to raise funds. All donations of items for auction can be dropped off at 48 Poplar St Indian Brook before Sept. 11, 2015, or please call for pickup. Email transfers will be much appreciated and accepted. Lance Bernard's trial finished today. He was found NOT GUILTY AND IS FREE. After 22 months, his innocence proven. The man who attacked him with a bat and robbed Lance was never charged and is still free yet. Justice is he is alive and free. Wela'lin Kisu'lk for prayers answered in a good way!

Court in Sydney for Lance is coming up in the New Year in January. HE WAS ASSAULTED AND ALMOST KILLED AND HE WAS THE ONE CHARGED. WE NEED TO RAISE FUNDS FOR A LAWYER TO FIGHT THIS INJUSTICE. IT WOULD BE THE SAME INJUSTICE AS JR. MARSHALL GOING TO PRISON FOR A CRIME HE DID NOT COMMIT IN SYDNEY, N S.

The legal case has been changed at the May 30 Court that was supposed to be a preliminary Hearing. Lawyer got the case changed to be heard in province Court instead of supreme Court and date is now Jan 9 2017! We will need to raise funds for legal fees and fight this injustice. The person who did this to Lance was never charged!

Lance continues to be well and is healthy and happy and loving his family! Their twins Zayden and Frayah are growing fast and crawling around now, keeping the parents busy as ever! Lance is so grateful for his life, recovery from severe brain trauma and being able to be the man and father he is for his family. You prayers and good energy helped him pull through. The next hurdle is the Preliminary hearing, which is May 30 and we are looking for support in Sydney Court on that day at 9:30am and prayers for justice for Lance. WELA'LIN

Great news! Lance's hard work on his recovery, health choices and determination has him now able to return to work, Doctors are amazed by his steady progress considering his injuries. We are so thankful to Kisu'lk and his helpers, ancestors watching over him and all your prayers and strength sent to him during this crisis in his life. He still has another challenge of the legal system and getting justice in the future and will need your support when that time comes. Wela'lioq for your prayers and support.
