🏆 Meet HealthEquine Therapies Ambassador Rider Jayde Croome & Fancy!

" Hi my name is Jayde Croome, I am 25 years old and I’m from Ancaster Ontario. I went to school for firefighting a few years ago at Georgian College in Barrie and then took a trades course at Conestoga in Cambridge. I have been working towards getting hired on for full-time firefighting, but currently work as a welder. Outside of horses, I love to wakesurf off my boat and just enjoy nature.

I have been riding since I was about 4 years old and I have done pretty much everything from jumpers, to cutting, sorting, barrel racing and pole bending. I currently pole bend and barrel race, there’s nothing quite like it! I just bought a sassy little 11 year old palomino quarter horse named Fancy. She's amazing and always tries her heart out every time we ride.

My goals for 2026 is to have clean consistent runs. Each time we run poles at the rodeos, we cut time off so my goal is to keep that up and to just have fun and enjoy it. I can get a little in my head when I’m competing and tend to be hard on myself. This season, I we will be competing at some NBHA shows and jackpots, in barrel racing and pole bending.

When I first got Fancy I don’t think she had any bodywork done to her, whether that be massages, BEMER or any sort of release treatments. She tends to be stiff and holds alot of tension and that came out in our runs. Since getting her, I’ve started getting her regular massages and she’s really opened up and is learning to release her tension. She’s still got a long way to go but there’s been a huge difference from everyday riding to competition. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us in this new sponsorship with HealthEquine Therapies. Thank you HET, I can’t wait to go into the 2026 season being apart of this team!"

🐎 Why Senior Horses Benefit So Much From Massage 🐎

As our horses age, their needs change — and one of the most supportive things you can offer a senior horse is regular massage therapy. It’s gentle, effective, and can make a meaningful difference in their comfort and quality of life.

Here’s why so many senior horses thrive with massage:

✨ Eases stiffness and discomfort
Helps reduce tension, soothe sore muscles, and support horses dealing with age‑related stiffness or arthritis.

✨ Improves mobility and flexibility
Loosens tight muscles, encourages better range of motion, and helps seniors move more freely and comfortably.

✨ Boosts circulation and healing
Enhanced blood flow supports tissue health, reduces inflammation, and promotes overall vitality.

✨ Supports muscle maintenance
Keeps aging muscles supple and functional, helping seniors stay strong and balanced.

✨ Reduces stress and promotes relaxation
Massage activates the body’s natural relaxation response, helping older horses feel calmer and more at ease.

✨ Helps identify issues early
Regular sessions make it easier to spot changes in muscle tone, soreness, or tension before they become bigger problems.

Our senior horses give us so much — massage is a beautiful way to give back and support them in their golden years.

🏆 Meet HealthEquine Therapies Ambassador Rider Cheyanne Bosch & Ben!

"My name is Cheyanne Bosch, I'm 15 years old and in the 10th grade. My big gray Quarter horse Ben is 20, and competes with me in the senior divison of the Ontario High School Rodeo Association. The events we love to compete in are goat tying and barrel racing. Ben and I have been competing together in club shows and other events since I was 4 years old. We've had a lot of fun together and plan to continue learning, working and having fun.

This year my main goal is to keep working on my riding skills with my horses, as that will really help me in the competition pen during High School Rodeo events. In my free time when I'm not practicing, I enjoy archery, visual arts and roller blading with friends.

HealthEquine Therapies has aided my horse in competition pen and the lesson ring by increasing blood flow through out his body and loosening up his muscles. Lauren has helped Ben and I improve with every run we start. When his body feels good, then he can move faster and more freely, so that every ride we have is a great one!"

Spring’s shifting weather, rising allergens, diet changes and increased workloads make proactive immune support essential. Focusing on prevention—steady routines, reduced stress, and strong nutrition—helps your horse handle seasonal demands, while targeted supplements can fill gaps and bolster natural defenses. A preventative approach now sets them up for a healthier, more resilient season ahead.

🌿 Immune Plus delivers a concentrated blend of botanicals like astragalus, echinacea, and reishi to help strengthen your horse’s immune system during seasonal or environmental stress. Its adaptogenic, antioxidant-rich formula supports natural defenses and overall resilience.

🌿 Biotic 8 Plus promotes a healthy digestive tract with a balanced mix of probiotics, prebiotics, and enzymes to maintain optimal gut function. By supporting the microbiome, it plays a key role in immunity—especially during seasonal changes or stressful periods.

🌿 Healthy Horse offers broad-spectrum immune support through key herbal ingredients that help horses stay strong through seasonal transitions. Its well-rounded formula promotes daily wellness, making it an excellent preventative option for consistent immune reinforcement.

April Availability Update!

Spring is finally peeking through, and with show season starting to ramp up, things are getting wonderfully busy around HealthEquine Therapies. We currently have one spot available:

🌷 April 24th within the Ancaster/Hamilton region.

As we head into the busier months, appointments are now booking 4–6 weeks in advance. If you know your horse will need support in the coming months, we highly recommend adding them to the waiting list sooner than later — it’s the best way to secure a spot as openings come up.

A quick note: Lauren will be off and the office will be closed for the Easter weekend (April 3–6). Emails and messages will be returned once we’re back in the office 🐰

Looking forward to helping your horses feel their best as we head into another exciting season.

🏆 Meet HealthEquine Therapies Ambassador Rider Lincoln Bosch & Ben!

"My name is Lincoln Bosch. My equine partner Ben is a 20 year old Quarter horse. I've been team roping for about 18 years now, and for 15 of those years, Ben has been my heading partner. We've participated in many roping practices, jackpots, rodeos and clinics together. We're always keeping our eyes open for clinic and practices to attend as we continue to have a great time competing and learning together.

After a minor tendon injury 2 seasons ago, I'm positive that Ben would not have recovered as well as he did, had it not been for Lauren's expert help. HealthEquine Therapies is an instrumental part of our equine care plan. Ben is a family member and my partner so he gets the best of care. With Ben back to full strength, we plan to attend multiple jackpots this season. Hopefully working towards bringing home another buckle together.

When I am not at the barn with our horses, I'm a certified fitter welder by trade. Waiting the work day to end so I can tack and rope with Ben."

Short answer: No — I’m not a professional saddle fitter, and I don’t fit saddles.
But I can help you understand what your horse’s body is telling us about their current saddle.

🧩 What I Can Do
While I don’t adjust or fit saddles, I do assess how your horse’s muscles and posture respond to the tack they’re wearing. During a session, I can:
• Identify muscle tension patterns that may be linked to saddle pressure
• Note areas of soreness, asymmetry, or compensation
• Share whether the body is showing signs that the saddle may be contributing to discomfort
• Conduct an 10-point assessment on the saddle your are currently using
This information helps you decide whether a professional saddle fitting is the next step.

🛠️ What I Cannot Do
• I do not adjust saddles
• I do not reflock, shim, or alter pads
• I do not diagnose saddle‑related injuries
• I do not replace the expertise of a certified saddle fitter
Saddle fitting is a specialized skill, and your horse deserves a qualified professional when adjustments are needed.

🤝 Working Together for Your Horse
Massage and saddle fitting complement each other beautifully.
My role is to support your horse’s comfort, mobility, and muscle health — and to help you spot when something in the tack setup might be affecting their body.
If I see signs that your horse may benefit from a professional saddle fitters expertise, I’ll always let you know.
