John Muir Garden Project Join us as we grow in our school garden! Weekly updates, photos, recipes and gardening tips!

Goals
• To encourage healthy eating and nutrition by involving students in growing fruits and vegetables
• To engage each student and cultivate teamwork, leadership and responsibility
• To make our school a healthier and greener environment by practising sustainable techniques
• To support our local community by donating produce to the Sooke Food Bank
• To create an outdoor classroom offering an additional method of learning math, science, physical education, art and social studies
• To demonstrate the farm-to-table connection and understanding of where food comes from
• To support and engage teachers use of the school garden for their students
• To encourage appreciation for the environment
