One of the most ironic things about working in the wellness industry is telling everyone to get off their phones while promoting wellness services and products on social media!! HAHAH 😅

However, while I think it would be impossible to get off our phones altogether at this point, I do think it’s important to put some restrictions around it.

I switch to airplane mode an hour before bed every night. I keep my phone away from me when I am reading a book or watching a TV show that I like so I can’t just accidentally pick it up and start using my phone. I put it on focus mode when I’m doing deep work so that I can’t get distracted by pinging (you can set priority people to still ping) and I generally keep it in my bag while I am working rather than out on my desk/coffee shop table!

These things have really helped me in my health journey, I sleep better, I don’t get FOMO and I definitely have less dopamine hits!

You don’t have to do all these things at once - maybe just start with one thing and see how you feel after. There are countless apps that make you more thoughtful about the scrolling now too - so try one of those, or just simply put your phone in another room - and keep track of how many times you reach for it!

If you think 5-a-day is the 'gold standard' for your health... I have some bad news."

"The '5-a-day' campaign was actually a marketing start-point, it did come from a very reliable source - the World Health Organisation found that you need 400g of fruit and veg for minimum health. This is great but it was also a little confusing. I did a study on this for my university degree, and my biggest takeaway is that nobody really knew what it meant! Here is why your body is asking for more:

* Diversity is the Key: It’s not just about eating 5 apples. Your gut microbiome needs diversity to thrive. Different colors mean different phytonutrients, and your gut bacteria use those to keep your immune system strong.
* Fiber vs. Fuel: Most people are 'overfed but undernourished.' You might be getting the calories, but without the fiber from those 5 to 10 servings, your blood sugar is a rollercoaster and your digestion is sluggish.
* The 'Volume' Secret: When you hit your vegetable targets, you’re filling your stomach with volume and nutrients, which naturally crowds out the ultra-processed cravings. You aren't 'fighting' hunger anymore; you're satisfying it."

"In my opinion, 5 is the bare minimum to prevent deficiency. If you want to actually feel amazing, have more energy, and clear that brain fog? We need to talk about reaching for 7 or 8, with a heavy focus on the veg side."

I show my clients how to hit these targets without feeling like a rabbit.

Here are the dumbest things I used to think about nutrition:

Eat less, move more
Eating clean equaled being “perfect”.
Keep calorie intake in a deficit

These drive me nuts now…. Because now I know how the body works, I understand that food should be used to nourish the body and mind and that it is all one big system.

I followed these stupid rules and I ended up over weight, low mood, high anxiety, low energy and in constant pain. I thought I was doing everything right.

When you just ‘eat less and move more,’ you aren’t just losing fat, you’re sending a signal to your brain that you are in a famine. Your thyroid slows down to protect you, your cortisol (stress hormone) spikes, and your body actually starts storing fat to survive. That’s why you feel ‘weight loss resistant.’

That ‘low mood’ and ‘anxiety’ I felt? It wasn’t in my head. It was my gut-brain axis failing because I wasn’t giving my body the amino acids and fats it needed to create neurotransmitters like serotonin.

I wasn’t ‘failing’ at my diet. I was literally starving my system of the information it needed to function. Once I stopped counting numbers and started providing nutrients, everything shifted.

If you’re stuck in that same ‘eat less’ cycle and you’re wondering why you feel like rubbish—you aren’t broken. You’re just under-nourished.

2026 vs 2016
2016: Living in Bermuda, heart-heavy, navigating two sick children with complex conditions, and studying for my degree while running on absolute empty. Burnout wasn’t just a word; it was my reality. 🌊🩹
2026: Living in Canada, kids are thriving and healthy, and I’m officially a Qualified Nutritionist running my own business. 🍎✨
A lot can happen in a decade. If you’re in your “2016” right now—exhausted and just trying to keep your head above water—keep going. The view from the other side is worth the climb. 🏔️

Want to work together in early 2026? This is how you get in.

I’m opening up a limited number of 1:1 consultation spots starting January — and the waitlist is now live.

These sessions are designed for high-achievers who are done feeling exhausted, inflamed, and foggy and want real, strategic support for their gut health, hormones, and energy.

Every time I open my calendar, spots go quickly (I keep numbers low so every client gets deep support), and this will be no different.

If you want to be one of the first to know when my January calendar opens, drop “WAITLIST” below or DM me directly.

Now’s the time to get your name on the list so 2026 isn’t another year of pushing through burnout.

Here’s exactly how I got dinner on the table in 25 minutes tonight (one-pot, no overthinking, nutrient-dense).

I had a packed day. Zero brain space left. But I had a fridge full of random ingredients, and this flavour profile in my head — smoky, warming, gently spiced.

So I grabbed what I had:
Chicken, carrots, cauliflower, chickpeas, garlic, onion, turmeric, chipotle, and a splash of almond milk.

Tossed it all in a pot and hoped for the best.

And you know what?
It worked. It was simple. It was satisfying. And my gut felt so much better after eating it compared to a rushed takeaway.

I can’t tell you how much I love this way of cooking — it’s flexible, nutrient-dense, and forgiving.
It’s how I support my own energy and digestion without overcomplicating it.
And it’s what I teach my clients to do, too.

Because when the nutrition you need becomes something you can actually throw together at 6:30 pm with a tired brain and a hungry family?
That’s when it becomes sustainable.

If this is the kind of dinner you’d actually make, drop “CURRY” in the comments and I’ll send you the base recipe.
Or tell me — what’s your go-to throw-it-in-the-pot meal when life is chaos?

Steal my top 3 nutrition shifts to keep your immune system strong this winter ❄️

If you always seem to catch every cold going around — even though you think you're eating healthy, taking your supplements, and trying to rest more...

This post is for you. (SAVE it — because these 3 tips can change your winter.)

My clients used these shifts and started feeling more resilient — even skipping the usual sick days they expected to take.

Here are 3 changes that made a huge difference in my own immunity too:

1. Eat more protein than you think you need.
Your immune cells are made from protein. When I upped my intake, I noticed fewer bugs, quicker recovery, and even better energy. Most women aren’t eating nearly enough for their immune system to thrive.

2. Feed your gut, not just your cravings.
Over 70% of your immune system lives in your gut. When your microbiome is out of whack, your immune signals are too. Adding fermented foods, fiber-rich veggies, and rotating your plants can help your gut and immune health work as a team.

3. Stop skipping meals.
When you're running on stress and coffee, your blood sugar crashes, cortisol spikes, and your immune system gets suppressed. Consistent meals — especially ones with protein and fat — keep your immune defenses steady all day.

Your immune system is your internal army — don’t leave it underfed and overwhelmed this winter.

If you’re tired of getting sick every few weeks and you’re ready to build resilient health from the inside out — DM me “IMMUNE” and I’ll show you how my 1:1 work can support you.

I’m looking for 2 women who are ready to improve their gut health – starting this November.

You’re a high-achieving woman who’s doing all the right things — working out, eating “clean,” and trying to stay on top of everything.
But despite your best efforts, you’re still…

Exhausted all the time (even after 8 hours of sleep)
Snapping at your kids or partner when you’re just burned out
Struggling with bloating, random cramps, and stubborn weight that just won’t budge
Confused by lab results that say you’re “fine,” when you know something’s off
Overwhelmed by all the conflicting advice online and just want someone to cut through the noise and tell you what actually works

If you’re nodding your head, you might be a fit for my 1:1 support.
This is for the woman who’s done guessing and is ready for real clarity, direction, and relief.

Together, over the course of 3 months, we’ll target your gut health with simple, strategic nutrition and lifestyle shifts — so you can experience more energy, fewer symptoms, and feel like yourself again.

✨ Only 2 spots left to start this November.
DM me GUT and I’ll send you the details.

Here’s exactly how I stock my pantry (behind-the-scenes of my “healthy living” system)

I’m not doing anything fancy. You won’t find a wall of powders or a perfectly colour-coded shelf.

I do take a few supplements—but what really keeps me grounded in my health is this:
• Extra virgin olive oil
• Balsamic vinegar
• Avocado oil for cooking
• Quinoa, beans, lentils
• Chia, flax, h**p & pumpkin seeds
• Nut butters
• A good stash of spices

These are the things I keep on hand always—not because it looks aesthetic, but because it works.

Having a stocked pantry means I can always throw something together that’s nourishing, simple, and actually doable on any given day.

And that’s what keeps me consistent.

Health doesn’t have to be complicated—it can be as simple as just having the right staples in reach.

So tell me… what are your kitchen non-negotiables?
Let’s trade staples—I’m always looking for new go-to’s. ⬇️
