* Experience the life of a bug deep in the root bed of a prairie plant.
* Peek in on a day in the lift of a pig.
* Try on a career in the amazing world of food production.
* Use ultrasound to find out if a pig is pregnant.
* Discover how research is
improving the quality of our food.
* Select their own supermarket food to make up a nutritious balanced meal.
* Learn how to make cheese. We want our visitors to leave us knowing:
* Food comes from agriculture.
* Farmers take care of the land. They also take animal welfare seriously - after all, good care is good business.
* There are interesting careers all along the food production chain.
* Science plays a huge role in the making of our food. The Centre is located at the University of Manitoba’s Glenlea Research Station, approximately 15 km south of Winnipeg.
