Flu vaccines are available now in our office. (Please note, our initial supply received is very limited but we expect to receive more vaccine over the upcoming weeks).
For people 5 years of age and older, all seasonal influenza vaccines, including live-attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV), may be given at the same time as, or at any time before or after, administration of other vaccines, including COVID-19 vaccines.
This year we have our regular seasonal vaccine as well as the high dose formulation for patients over the age of 65. Please call the front desk if you wish to book an appointment. Please let the front desk know which vaccine you would like. The high dose vaccine is strongly recommend for those over 65 years of age. Due to issues with supply that are out of our control, we cannot guarantee the availability of the high dose vaccine.
You may also get your flu shots at Pharmacies and Public Health Clinics. If you do get your flu shot at another location, please inform us at your earliest convenience.
If you do not want the flu shot, no further action is needed. Please do not call the office. This is a courtesy only.
Annual flu vaccination is recommended for everyone, especially for those at higher risk. It is an effective way to decrease flu related illnesses, hospitalizations, and deaths.
