Why you feel worse at night:

During the day, your brain is distracted.
At night, everything goes quiet—and your nervous system gets louder.

For some people, this shows up as:
• racing thoughts
• adrenaline or panic
• waking up wired
• fear of going to sleep

This is called hyperarousal, and it’s one of the most common drivers of insomnia.

The goal isn’t to “force sleep”—it’s to calm the system that’s preventing it.
