When the storms of life roll in, nature doesn’t panic — it prepares.
Birds shelter in the trees. Animals burrow down. Branches bend so they don’t break.

Sometimes strength looks like pushing forward.
Sometimes it looks like battening down the hatches and holding on until the wind passes.

If this season feels heavy, you don’t have to face it alone 💙

Because no one should weather the storm by themselves.

Holding it all together can be exhausting.
From the outside, it may look like you’re managing — showing up, getting things done, taking care of everyone else. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy.

You don’t have to reach a breaking point to deserve support.
You don’t have to prove how hard it is before someone takes you seriously.

Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is let someone in. 💙

You don’t have to carry it alone. Reach out when you’re ready.

Next Saturday, our In Good Time team will be walking in the Coldest Night of the Year in support of the Summerside LifeHouse Emergency Shelter 💙

This 2 or 5 km winter walk shines a light on the realities of hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our community — and reminds people they are not alone.

We’re proud to be showing up together (with even more of our team joining us on walk day!) to support a cause that matters deeply here on PEI.

If you’re able, please consider supporting our team or sharing our page. Every dollar stays local and helps provide safety, warmth, and hope.

We’re offering two free info sessions to help you learn more about mental health services before committing to anything.

On February 24 at 6 PM, Psychologist Ian MacAusland-Berg will host a live Q & A on psychological assessments — what they are, who they help, and how to access one.

On March 28 at 10 AM, join us at Clarity Equine in Miscouche for a free information session on Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, led by Caitlin Heckbert and Wendy Holm. This unique approach uses guided interactions with horses to support emotional regulation, confidence, and healing — no riding experience required.

Both sessions can be attended in person or streamed live on our page.

In Part 3 of this self-compassion series, Wendy brings everything together and talks about what self-compassion can look like in everyday life.

Understanding the ideas is one thing. Practicing them in real moments, when you are stressed, disappointed, or hard on yourself, is where the real shift happens.

Self-compassion is not about ignoring problems or lowering your expectations. It is about learning to respond to yourself with steadiness and kindness while you work through them.

Start small. Notice your tone. Offer yourself the same understanding you would give someone you care about.

Change happens gradually, with practice, in good time.

February can feel long.
The days are still short, the energy is low, and it can seem like everyone else is already moving faster than you are.

But this is still winter.
Resting, slowing down, and taking things one day at a time isn’t falling behind. It is responding to the season you are actually in.

If today feels heavy, quiet, or slower than you hoped, you are not doing it wrong. You are just human.

Go gently with yourself tonight.
Spring will come, in good time. 💙

Curious about Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy but not sure what to expect?

Join us for our free monthly info session and come see what this work is really about.

We’ll talk about how sessions work, who it can support, what happens on the ground with the horses, and why this approach can feel different from traditional talk therapy. There will be space for questions, conversation, and connection.

Whether you’re considering it for yourself, your youth, or simply want to learn more, you’re welcome here.
