If your lower belly rounds out or you dribble a little after or before you p*e - look out for "low pressure fitness" exercises.

And make sure you are Exhaling on exertion to take away that downward pressure.

Us baby makers need to take time to train our core muscles to move in and up as we brace so we dont end up in diapers later 😉

Good News! March is on. $55 for the month or $15 drop in (your first class is free).

Guess what? You don't have to be fit, flexible, strong, or even happy that day to attend. Just show up.

We will breathe, move, stretch, and get those deep core muscles firing together in a supportive and light-hearted environment. Or, you can take a nap, we won't tell anyone.

I was postpartum and healing a pr*****ed bladder from my first.

(and unbeknowst to me at the time a misdiagnosed from my 2nd).

YOU CAN HAVE ABS AND LOOK FIT AND STILL HAVE A WEAK CORE.

The core consists of:

✅️Diaphragm
(This is why the breathe is VERY important in core recovery)
✅️Pelvic floor
✅️Transversus abdominus
✅️Multifidis.

These 4 must be able to work together again. Fully contract and fully relax. Fire in an anticipation! (before things like backs and shoulders and necks and knees take over).

My internal structures were stretched out from pregnancy and delivery (2 under 2 with nice round heads) and maaaaaybe returning to hard exercises too soon, maybe genetics, maybe carrying a toddler and a baby while still healing.

We will never know for sure.

Which is why it very important for women to check in with a .

Even if you havent had babies. Even if you feel fine. Especially postpartum. Especially postmenopause.

1 in 3 women who have had babies have prolapse.

1 in 3.

Safe core re-conditioning by those specifically trained in core and pelvic floor rehab can and will help. You know, that thing that is free and part of postpartum care in the UK....

Personal trainers do not learn this in their training.

Yoga teachers dont either. Not fully.

I am both. I went out and made it my mission to learn how to help this underserved population where we are often doing more harm than good. (Burp*es and crunches anyone - or "mommy bootcamp"?!)
