Foot Care Tips for Clients Living with Diabetes:
1. Inspect your feet daily for cuts, redness, swelling, or nail issues.
2. Wash your feet in lukewarm (never hot) water, and dry carefully—especially between the toes.
3. Moisturize daily, but avoid the areas between your toes, unless of course using Podoexpert which is safe for use between toes.
4. Trim nails straight across and file edges—never cut too short.
5. Never attempt to treat corns or calluses yourself—seek professional care.
6. Always wear clean, dry socks (diabetic socks are best).
7. Check the inside of shoes before putting them on.
8. Never walk barefoot, even at home.
