A new year begins — loudly, bravely, and with a bit of chaos.
Today in Port Morien, we watched crowds run into the cold Atlantic Ocean — cheering, laughing, shouting, hesitating, then going anyway. It was inspiring, emotional, and absolutely alive.

Across cultures, people mark new beginnings through meaningful rituals.
In Ukraine, many traditionally immerse themselves in icy water on Epiphany as a symbol of renewal.
In Germany and other parts of Europe, winter swimming (Winterschwimmen) has become a cold-season ritual for many — communal, challenging, unforgettable.

Many Indigenous teachings remind us that water is something to meet with respect — not to conquer, but to approach with intention, even when it’s uncomfortable.

This year, we’re choosing rituals over resolutions.

We’ve been working together for over two years, and it’s wonderful to see Maskwiomin continue to grow on their shelves with an increased SKU assortment.
