As a practicing Registered Massage Therapist since 2012 who has lived in Sylvan Lake for over 30 years, I am overjoyed to be able to serve in this community. It was my dream in high school to one day run my own Health Centre and to do everything in my power to provide a safe atmosphere that would effectively allow others to rejuvenate and heal on all levels. As a graduate from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition there is a plethora of knowledge to share along with my current certifications. I am incorporating 1 piece of dark chocolate daily into my diet:

Meet Penny, RMT

Penny is a Registered Massage Therapist who is deeply passionate about supporting people in achieving optimal health and well-being—especially as the body faces new challenges with age. Her approach is grounded in the belief that healing is most effective when both body and mind are cared for.

Known for her intuitive touch, Penny blends skilled technique with a calm, attentive presence to create treatments that promote deep relaxation, pain relief, and overall balance. Clients appreciate her ability to listen, connect, and create a safe, grounding environment where the body can fully unwind and restore.

Penny utilizes techniques in relaxation and therapeutic massage, helping clients manage stress, reduce tension and discomfort, and improve their overall quality of life. Her treatments are professional yet nurturing, offering both physical relief and a sense of ease.

She completed her Registered Massage Therapy training at the Alberta College of Massage and is committed to ongoing professional development. Penny plans to expand her skill set with additional training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Prenatal Massage to better serve her clients’ evolving needs.

Some mornings you just dump it in the slow cooker and trust dinner will take care of itself.
These are the meals Grandma would’ve loved — simple, hearty, and waiting for you when the day winds down.

🍲 4 Slow Cooker Dump Meals
No prep stress. No standing at the stove. Just real food doing its thing.

🍗 Slow Cooker Chicken & Potatoes
• 2½–3 lbs chicken drumsticks or thighs
• 1½ lbs baby potatoes, halved
• 1 cup carrots, sliced
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 1 cup chicken broth
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
• Salt & pepper to taste

👉 Add everything to slow cooker.
Cook LOW 7–8 hrs or HIGH 4–5 hrs.

🥩 Slow Cooker Beef & Gravy
• 2 lbs chuck roast
• 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
• 1 packet onion soup mix
• 1½ cups beef broth
• 1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)

👉 Place beef in cooker. Pour everything over.
Cook LOW 8 hrs. Shred before serving.

🍗 Slow Cooker Chicken & Stuffing
• 2 lbs boneless chicken breasts
• 1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix
• 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
• ¾ cup chicken broth
• ¼ cup butter, melted
• 1 cup chopped celery (optional)

👉 Layer chicken, then stuffing.
Mix soup, broth & butter; pour over.
Cook LOW 6–7 hrs.

🌭 Slow Cooker Sausage & Peppers
• 2 lbs Italian sausage (links or sliced)
• 3 bell peppers, sliced
• 1 large onion, sliced
• 2 cups marinara sauce
• 1 tsp Italian seasoning

👉 Add everything to slow cooker.
Cook LOW 6–7 hrs or HIGH 3–4 hrs.

✨ Set it and forget it meals — the kind that make busy days easier and dinners feel homemade.
