That isn’t weakness.
It’s capacity.

You might not notice them at first.

They’re small. Quiet. Easy to overlook.

But your nervous system does.

A glimmer is a tiny moment of feeling a little more safe, connected, calm, or okay, even if nothing else has changed.

It might be:
☀️ Sun on your face
🐾 Your pet leaning into you
🎵 A song that softens something inside
🤍 Someone really listening

These moments don’t fix everything.
They just gently remind your system that not everything is a threat.

And sometimes, that’s enough to help your body take one small breath out.

There are times when something stirs inside us. A feeling, a reaction, a hurt, a worry. It all blends together so quickly that it’s hard to tell what’s actually going on. The situation, the thoughts, the emotions, the meaning we attach to it… it can feel like one big mix.

This is where zooming out can help.

The Moment is what’s happening right now.
The Story is what our mind adds, the interpretations, fears, hopes, or meanings.
The Observer is the part of us that can gently step back and notice each layer with a bit more clarity.

You don’t have to fix anything or figure it all out at once.
Just creating a little space between the layers can make things feel more understandable, and a bit easier to move through.

One layer at a time.
