BREAKING NEWS: Johnny Depp has donated his entire $5 million in earnings from his recent film projects and endorsement deals to fund a network of homeless support centers in Los Angeles, the city he has long called home. The initiative will create 150 transitional housing units and 300 emergency shelter beds for people in need across the greater L.A. area.

“I’ve walked these streets for years,” Depp shared quietly at a brief press conference. “I’ve seen too many people living without shelter, without support, without someone noticing them. If I’m in a position to help, then I have a responsibility to do that. No one deserves to be left out in the cold.”

According to project organizers, the centers will provide more than just a place to sleep. They will include job placement assistance, mental health counseling, addiction recovery programs, medical referrals, and long-term transition services aimed at helping individuals rebuild stability and independence.

Depp, who has lived and worked in Los Angeles for decades, emphasized that community has always mattered to him. “This city has given me a lot,” he said. “If I can use what I’ve earned to give something meaningful back, then that’s what I want to do. It’s about dignity. It’s about giving people a real chance.”

Construction on the first facility is expected to begin later this year, with local officials describing the effort as one of the largest privately funded homelessness support initiatives in the area in recent years.
