It is not your age ...it is your load management.
You do not have to stop doing the things you love because you are getting older. ๐ But your body does need preparation, progression, and recovery.
โก๏ธIf you have not hiked the East Coast Trail in 10 months, your first hike probably should not be 3 hours long.
โก๏ธ If you have not lifted all winter, hauling 30 bags of mulch in one weekend might leave you sore for days.
That does not mean your body is broken.
It means the load exceeded what you have prepared for.
Your body is capable at any age โ we just have to respect the process.๐ช
