Our Caregiver of the Month in November is none other than our wonderful, OG, Nurse Kirandeep!! We've seen her journey in her career as she started with us as a Personal Support Worker and now a Registered Nurse!

Q & A with Nurse Kirandeep:

What makes you proud to be a Caregiver?

I’m proud to be a caregiver because I get to be a steady, compassionate presence for people during some of their most vulnerable moments. Even small acts of care can make a meaningful difference, and that’s something I never take for granted.

How do you connect with your patients/clients?

I try to connect through patience, gentleness, and genuine listening. Everyone’s story is different, and I try to meet people exactly where they are — emotionally, physically, and culturally.

What makes you proud to be a Caregiver?
Being a caregiver allows me to make a genuine difference in people’s lives every day. It’s rewarding to know that my presence and care can bring comfort and reassurance to others.

How do you connect with your patients/clients?
I connect with my patients by being genuine and treating them like family. I take the time to really listen, show empathy, and let them know they’re cared for. Even small gestures, a kind word, a smile can make a big difference in helping them feel safe and valued.

When we asked one of our Caregivers what makes them proud to do the work that they do, they responded with,

"Being able to provide a pillar for my clients to lean on is what makes me proud to be a caregiver. Showing up to work prepared for anything really helps give me the strength I need to face any challenges head on. Providing a consistent presence for my clients, whether it be answering questions, assisting them with daily activities, or simply providing a listening ear during moments of stress is what makes this job so important and fulfilling."
