Doula tip : Your baby will be easiest to dress and care for the first two months of their life in a sleeper. Seasoned parents and Doulas will tell you they're your best friend! Specifically zippered or magnetic sleepers ; no one wants to do snaps or buttons at 3am.
Tips and tricks:
👕 Buy second hand ✋ babies grow out of things so quickly you can find great quality sleepers very inexpensively
🤱Borrow from another parent who's baby has outgrown them.
🚿🍼Ask for simple zip sleepers for your baby shower, little outfits are adorable but functionality is where it's at .

As a Doula I truly know the difference sleep makes for new parents and I know the best way to achieve that is helping baby to sleep 😴. I come equipped with baby sleep aids when I'm asked to do postpartum support and/or sleep consultation such as the travel sound machine pictured here .

The truth about Doulas and connection: It's a common myth that in birth and postpartum a Doula takes over with the baby.
The truth is we work hard on helping you and your partner(s) to build strong bonds with the baby and each other.
By having a supporter by your side to help you with self care tasks, home maintenance and an extra set of loving arms (for your baby while you rest or shower) those bonds are strengthened.
