Midlife energy crashes are a real thing. And if we’re not taking care of our adrenals, then that’s exactly what we will be experiencing.
In my 30s, I used to skip breakfast in the mornings, and just run on coffee, not realizing I was making the biggest mistake.
❌Coffee is a very strong stimulant, spiking our cortisol even more in the mornings.
❌The spike in cortisol will not only drain our energy throughout the day, it will also cause more insulin resistance and sugar imbalance throughout the day.
❌And with that comes mid-day crashes and afternoon cravings.
And when I made this shift, I noticed a huge difference:
✅With my energy level
✅Insulin sensitivity
✅And lack of cravings
✅Enjoy a well balanced nutritious breakfast about 1-2 hrs after waking.
✅This will lead to stable mornings and afternoons, with constant energy and no cravings. It will also enhance insulin sensitivity throughout the day.
👉And YES, if you’re a big fan INTERMITTENT FASTING like myself, then you can absolutely do so.
👉Instead of having your first meal at 11am or noon, enjoy your breakfast by 8am and your last meal by 5pm.
Here’s why this format of intermittent fasting works so well:
✅It aligns with our circadian rhythm and our metabolic clock
✅Keeps cortisol levels in the morning in check
✅Our body utilizes most energy in the morning and throughout the day, so consuming nutritious meals when it’s needed most, is best suited for our body
✅The food we consume gets while digested in the evening hours before bedtime
✅Improved insulin sensitivity
✅Improved metabolic function
✅Improved melatonin release
✅Great deep sleep means great recovery
this is just one of many tips I provide in my coaching program that will drastically improve our metabolic function in no time.
