Earlier this year, I decided I wanted to build strength and resilience not only in my mind, but also in my body.
I started to wonder what the best way to do that would be, and I concluded that 108 sun salutations would be the perfect challenge.
As I got closer to International Yoga Day, I decided to use this opportunity to mobilize my community and get them excited about yoga. We all know the benefits, sometimes, we just need a little push to get started.
So, I created a WhatsApp group, shared a message in all my communities, and invited everyone to join me.
A few brave souls hopped in to the group full of energy and joined me in this challenge. Ever since the end of May, we've been practicing together every single day and building up to 108 sun salutations.
Not gonna lie, it's been a JOURNEY – a transformative, beautiful journey.
I've been able to see that I am stronger than I think I am, and the smiling faces of my community tell me that they're feeling the same.
I decided the best way to celebrate our growth would – of course – be together and in person.
So for June 21st, International Yoga Day, I decided to put together a live event where all of us could meet and do 108 sun salutations together.
