We are delighted to announce the addition of Bijo Sebastian to our Board of Directors.

Bijo brings a dynamic blend of experience in music education, community engagement, and program development. He is the founder of Legato School of Music, an organization committed to making quality string education accessible and affordable for beginner and intermediate students. Since its founding in 2019, Legato has guided over 80 students in violin studies, and beginning in May 2025, the school will expand to include viola, cello, and double bass.
Bijo’s background includes Suzuki training under Oxford-qualified Professor Biju Lawrence and successful completion of ABRSM intermediate grades through the London curriculum. His passion for community building extends through his work with the Canadian Skills Development Centre, an organization he founded to support newcomer families in Canada through skills training and cultural programming.
We are thrilled to welcome Bijo to our leadership team and look forward to the knowledge, energy, and dedication he brings to our mission of inspiring lifelong engagement with music across generations.
