FIVE ways a child can feel safe at night😴
1. Create a “nighttime anchor” 🛌
Something soft & familiar your child can hold onto when the lights go out (a blanket, a stuffie, or a calming companion like mediTATE™️, helps their body remember it’s safe to rest)
2. Turn “worries into whispers” ✨
Invite your child to quietly tell their worries to a toy before bed. Saying them out loud (even softly) helps release them. TATE is always ready to listen.
3. Add a small glow of comfort ⭐️
A warm night light or star projector can turn the dark into something friendly instead of scary.
4. Slow the world down together 🧘
Try tracing fingers, counting slow breaths, or following mediTATE’s breathing paws to gently signal that the day is done.
5. Leave a piece of you behind ♥️
A note under their pillow, or a reminder like “I’m just down the hall” helps kids feel connected even after you leave the room.
As a caregiver, we can help set our children up for success at bedtime if we set the stage right.
