Afghanistan: Pathways to Peace

Afghanistan: Pathways to Peace Education to Female (Edu2Fem) AGCC is based on the recognition that working with women is insufficient to change the lives of Afghan women.

Women in villages are more isolated and vulnerable than women in cities. AGCCs provide rural women, many of whom are in remote locations, with access to information about the world outside their communities. It teaches them about their rights and roles in a democratic society. It also helps them find ways to earn incomes for themselves and their families. AGCC’s goal is to have Afghan women exercising their democratic rights and responsibilities. To reach this goal, they must understand their roles in Afghan society, have access to health care information and services, and gain a degree of economic self-sufficiency.

On the last day of sixth grade, two Afghan girls graduated tearfully, saying their goodbyes, fully aware that they wouldn't meet each other again at school. The profound suffering of these Afghan girls is deeply distressing.

It has been 809 days since teenage girls in Afghanistan were denied the right to an education. The world remains silent while Afghan women and girls continue to be denied their basic human rights. ☹️🇦🇫️

Closing the gates of girls' schools forces them into forced marriages;

Under the rule of the Taliban group, forced marriage of girls under 18 years of age Increased, who are forced to marry at the ages of 10, 11, 12, and 13.
This is a crime against humanity. Afghanistan’s women have become victims of forced marriage & sexual enslavement under Taliban gender apartheid regime.

This is how afghan women and girls are dying every day 😥
