WELCOME to the team, Dr Ranasinghe!!! 💕 We are so excited! Chalani is originally from Toronto, and after attending medical school at Queen’s University, she completed her family medicine residency and fellowship at the University of Toronto. She is passionate about providing non-judgemental care in the areas of sexual health, addictions medicine and public health. Outside of work, Chalani is usually on the hunt for a new novel and the city’s best oat chai. You will see Dr Ranasinghe occasionally between both clinic locations! 🙌

Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexphobia and Transphobia. We all know there is increasing violence and rhetoric against our communities worldwide and that is not okay! At SAFER SIX, we see you, we hear you, we celebrate you, and we support you. We will always provide affirming and inclusive care, especially for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals while we continue to advocate, educate, and fight the good fight for equality. 🌈
May 17 is chosen as the day to commemorate the WHO decision in 1990 to declassify homosexuality as a mental disorder.

If you are not a part of one of these communities, let someone you may know that you support them, you love them, and you are there for them no matter what. The words may save someone’s life.
