My treatment specialization includes: anxiety/depression, dating and relationships, grief counselling, work and career issues, stress management and conflict resolution. My goal is to help you build skills to help yourself. I use a variety of counselling techniques including Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and relaxation and breathing techniques. I teach mindfulness and meditation techniques for stress management. I help people just like you every day. Whether you are in a crisis, going through a life-transition, struggling with daily life, or feeling stuck, I can help.

There are some things you have control over, and some things you don’t. The trick to feeling better and less stressed is to focus on what’s in your control and let go of the rest.

The reason our brain want to control everything (even when we can’t) because uncertainty makes us nervous. When we don’t know what’s going to happen, our brain tries to grab onto anything it can to make us feel safer. But once we recognize what’s truly in our control and what’s not, we can start to let go of that need to control everything. It’s like telling your brain, ‘I’ve got this, I’m focusing on what I can do, and that’s enough’.

Hi! I'm Lindsay. Registered Counsellor, Holistic Life Coach and Certified Mindfulness Coach. Let's step into nature on the beautiful Sunshine Coast and harness all the therapeutic benefits of getting outdoors. Getting outside can be beneficial in reducing stress, combating anxiety, reducing feelings of anger and improve your overall physical health. Some clients feel that it is difficult to talk, think or feel, while sitting still face to face. Walk and Talk sessions allow for a greater mind and body connection as well as allowing our natural surroundings aid in the healing process.
