Standing where you stood.
My heart beating where you bled.
I have come from the same Maple Blood
Across the Sea.
The wind whistles your story to me.
I listen but cannot hear
The narrative that became your swan song.

Guilt that I cannot hear the whispers
Perhaps that is your sacrifice
The gift that I will never
Know the horrors
You sealed in this foreign grave
For me.

You rest in pieces.
I rest in peace.

Like you, I am balancing life-reflection with refreshed goal setting.

Somehow, when 20, I envisioned my dreams with a completion date that left the last half uncharted: get an education, get married, have kids, start & develop a career. I hit 50 and all my Plan A’s were accomplished: B.A., B.Ed, M.Ed, marry, one daughter, one son, hired as Teacher, promoted to leadership role, honed my craft as Theatre Director. My first redirect came when my husband of 23 years announced his next chapter did not involve me. Now what? Who am I? What am I?

I am Kelly Judge! I am a loveable, evolvable, learning machine!

I get to have the excitement of everything being new again that I assumed was exclusive to youth! I hope sharing my take on exciting new challenges that are only afforded to those of us who have already checked off Plan A, will entice you to confidently explore your own Better Plan B!
