That’s a wrap on our Weekend Respite for 2024! We introduced this needed service mid-way through the year with a raving response from the individuals in our community!

We are always open to new and exciting events that may be up and coming. Currently we are planning for 2025 with awesome activities like Chicopee Tube Park, Elmira Maple Syrup Festival, Lush Bath Bomb making and much more! Have a suggestion, weigh in down below!⬇️😊

A big surprise came knocking on our door today! The Carry-On Women’s Institute in Palmerston graciously dropped off a cheque and some fabric to our space today!

For a while many individuals supported have asked to get a Nintendo Switch, and with this wonderful donation we will be purchasing our very own to play group sports and have the occasional dance-off! 💃🕺🏼

We had the wonderful opportunity to be the recipient of the door and Santa donations for Sunday, November 17th at for their annual Christmas Holiday Market.

The market exceeded all of our expectations. It left us as a service speechless and feeling extremely grateful for the opportunity. The cumulative total raised was $8,000 with half of the proceeds going towards Building Bridges Adult Day Program. With this, we will be looking at opening our doors to additional activities/performers, especially when the winter rolls around. In addition to making our space accessible friendly with an automatic door opener. Removing one barrier at a time!

Thank-you again to the organizers of the event, families, friends and members of the community that came out to support this wonderful market!

A fun day learning all about our fire department and what it entails to be a firefighter! 🧯👩‍🚒🚒

We had the opportunity to sit in a fire truck, see the jaws of life in action, learn about the life of a firefighter and how we should say thank-you for everything they really do for us and the community!

A very big thank-you to the Palmerston Fire Station for taking the time to allow us to tour, and provide such an in depth and super fun visit! Palmerston’s Fire Station is run by volunteer fire fighters. Not only did they take the time out of their day to teach us all about what they do; they reminded us to pull over on the side of the road when there is a green flashing light!💚
