SAVE THE DATE: April 27th - An Event You Won't Want to Miss!
Caregiving touches the lives of all Canadians.
But did you know that more than half of women in Canada are caregivers?
In 2020–2021, close to 477,000 individuals were living with diagnosed dementia in Canada, with almost two-thirds being women. Additionally, almost 10 people were diagnosed with dementia every hour during this period. Moreover, the risk of being diagnosed with dementia is more than six times higher for individuals aged 80 and above compared to those aged 65–79.
Statistics show that one in four Canadians will become caregivers for someone
with a long-term health condition, disability, or age-related needs at some point in their lives.
That's why we've created an event where you can learn about community resources that can support you or someone you know on this journey.
Let's come together, unite our efforts, and shine a light on this meaningful cause, in support of the Alzheimer's Society of Toronto.
